God’s faithfulness to Wind River Ranch is displayed each day in the creation about us. God’s loving-kindness and faithfulness is not dependent upon our whims.

Psalm 36:5
Thy loving-kindness, O Lord, extends to the heavens.
Thy faithfulness reaches to the skies.

Creations of God
September 8, 2001—an early fall snow blankets the Ranch. God’s Word was sown in the hearts of all the guests who came in the summer. Just as the snow blankets the earth and nourishes the soil, so God’s Word will not return empty from all the hearts filled this summer.

Isaiah 55:10-11
For as the rain and snow come down from heaven and do not return without watering the earth and making it bear and sprout and furnishing seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall My word be which goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to me empty without accomplishing what I desire, and without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it.

We worship the Creator of this mountain. E J Lamb, the Bible teacher and mountain climber who homesteaded this property, worshipped right here 130 years ago. We both take refuge in the same God who has been looking over this mountain forever.

Isaiah 57:13
But he who takes refuge in Me shall inherit the land
and possess My holy mountain.

Worship The Creator
Firesides in the Ranch House are special times. The cold or rain outside does not dampen the Light within. Sing Alleluia to the Lord.

Psalm 68:4
Sing to God, sing praises to His name; Lift up a song to Him…”

Firesides
There are many ways in this life, but Jesus said, “I am the way. Follow only Me.” There are a lot of horse trails here in this beautiful valley. A number of them will get you back where you started. But in life, there are many options available to us, but only one way leads to eternal peace with the God who made all this.

Matthew 7:14
For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life,
and few are those who find it.

Stay On Trail
Wow! What a place to worship God. Not just because of the mountains and beauty of this place, but because of the God who made the mountains. Worship here is soaking up His presence. Worship here gives us a sense of divine order. The goal of worship is to get filled up with living water so that it may spill out of our life when we return to worship in the valley. We exist so that all who come can say, “Wow!” and worship an awesome God right on this mountain.

Psalm 45:17
I will cause Thy name to be remembered in all generations;
therefore the peoples will give Thee thanks forever and ever.

Fridays at Wind River Ranch are special indeed. It is the last day we are all together with the guests for that week, the last Bible study, and the guest’s fireside on Friday night. Some weeks we have a communion service after the last Bible study that morning. The speaker this week used this goblet and serving bowl for the first time as they were a gift from his son who had just returned from Europe. Fridays are a time to “forgive and remember.”
Remember Him who has forgiven us

1 Corinthians 11:26
For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup,
you proclaim the Lord’s death until He comes.

The columbine is the state flower of Colorado. It is so beautiful when in full bloom. The summer flowers are majestic, but just for a season. Soon, fall will be here and the flowers will fade. Then the onslaught on winter. But we also have the promise of God for another summer and the flowers return. Our lives, like this flower, are brief. Here for a season and then gone. The only thing that endures is God’s Word. And that is the word of God.

Isaiah 40:8
The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of God stands forever.

There is a cost and reward for every choice we make. The rewards for following Jesus for the right reasons always overcome the cost.
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I-
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.
(John Eldredge Sacred Romance)

Luke 18:29-30
Truly I say to you, there is no one who has left house or wife or brothers or parents or children, for the sake of the kingdom of God who shall not receive many times as much at this time and in the age to come, eternal life.
