The beauty of the most breathtaking mountains here is but a shadow of what awaits us there.” Ken Gire The Weathering Grace of God Isaiah 52:7 How lovely on the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who announces peace and brings good news of happiness, who announces salvation, and says to Zion, “Your God reigns!”

Breath Taking Mountains 		The barn built by EJ Lamb in 1889 is a symbol to us of God’s faithfulness. Quite possibly, EJ’s prayers in the 1880’s were answered in the 1990’s. “Our true life is not in the things which are passing, and if we build ourselves on God and His word, when they go, the marvel is that we are not scared. The thing to examine spiritually is, am I connected with Jesus Christ personally?” Oswald Chambers 2 Corinthians 5:1 For we know that if the earthly tent which is our house is torn down, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.

The Barn 		Sunday morning at Wind River Ranch. This is the “house of the Lord” for the staff on Sunday morning as we prepare for a new week and pray that God will indeed show up again this new week. The house of the Lord is for one purpose– worship. It is easy here. This photo was taken our last Sunday in 2001. Micah 4:1 And it came about in the last days that the mountain of the house of the Lord will be established as the chief of the mountains. It will be raised above the hills and the peoples will stream to it.

Sunday Worship
Hummingbirds abound at the Ranch and remind us of God’s faithfulness. Their desire for the sweet nectar they crave is a good example for us. We too should desire the sweet nectar from God’s word. If we work at it, God will provide it. This was taken on the Ranch House deck during Bible study. Matthew 6:26 Look at the birds of the air, that they do not sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth more than they?

Hummingbirds 		Light. One of my favorite words in the Bible. Jesus said, “I am the Light”. It is wisdom and understanding. It is life. We cannot live without light, and we can live forever with the true Light. John 8:12 I am the light of the world; he who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
