Wind River Ranch is located seven miles south of Estes Park, Colorado, between mile-marker 7 and 8 on Highway 7. We are at an elevation of 9,200 feet. Estes Park is seventy-five miles northwest of Denver and Estes Park is the eastern gateway into the Rocky Mountain National Park.

The quaint mountain town of Estes Park has about 6,000 people year round (and 6,000 elk). It swells to 50,000 people during the summer. Activities include shopping, sightseeing, golf, tennis, fishing, movies, museums, and many fabulous restaurants.

Rocky Mountain National Park boundaries are right across the street from the ranch and directly behind the ranch. RMNP attracts over two million visitors a year. Trail Ridge Road goes right through the Park and is the highest continually-paved road in America. The drive through the park is breath-taking. There are hundreds of hiking trails for the novice as well as the expert.
