The breakfast chef is typically staffed by an individual who has previous experience in a kitchen, has some professional training or attending culinary school, and is considering a career in food service. The breakfast chef must also have some knowledge of special dietary needs such as gluten, dairy, and nut allergies. We will usually have a few guests each week that have food allergies and strive to accommodate them. You must be a morning person, self-motivated, efficient, keep a clean work space, and be organized. Although the breakfast chef is usually working independently, with the assistance of the sous or prep chef, they must still respect and follow the lead of the Head Chef.
We have one breakfast chef each summer. This person needs to have experience and skill in the kitchen, a servant’s heart, a willingness to lead, and the ability to follow the directions of the chef.
As with all of our staff, an active and mature faith in Jesus Christ is the most important ingredient for a successful staff member. This is a seasonal position only.
